Scripture: Revelation 5
More worship!
Observation
More worship in heaven!
John sees the One on the throne holding a sealed scroll and no one is worthy to open it…except the Lion of Judah. He looks again and sees not a lion but a Lamb that has been slain. When the Lamb takes the scroll, worship breaks out, starting with those nearest the throne: the four living creatures and the 24 elders. Then all the angels—millions and millions—join in. Then every creature in the universe—in heaven, on earth, under the earth, in the sea—all join in singing: “Worthy is the Lamb!”
Imagine it! I’ve been in worship, large and small, that took my breath away. Imagine this! It will be overwhelming.
Application
This is what is going on right now in heaven. We might as well join in too! I want to imagine my small single voice raised in song, in worship and praise, as part of a huge cascading symphony of worship to God. I’m adding my voice to the 4 living creatures, the 24 elders, countless millions of angels, and every creature in the universe.
When I worship God, I’m part of the single largest activity in the universe! So…join in!
Prayer: Lord, today I want to worship You all day long, lifting my heart and my voice in song, in praise and worship. You are worthy! You deserve it!
