“Advent” means coming. The celebration of Jesus’s birth is coming! The season of Advent is the four weeks before Christmas when we focus on his coming.

How can we prepare for Jesus’s birth daily? Here is a list of Advent devotions from Pastor Micheal’s message for each day this week, starting Monday. Read, Reflect, Pray (a Mini PBJ). Do it with your family! Make this fun, spend some time together, reflecting and expecting the reason for the season.

Day One:
Romans 15:13
Jesus is the God of hope! Who do you know who needs hope? Pray that God gives you an opportunity to invite them to a Christmas service.

Day Two:
Ephesians 2:12
Look back at your life before Jesus. What difference has he made? Pray for Jesus to show you what he still wants to change in you.

Day Three:
Matthew 11:28
Christmas is a busy season. Pray that Jesus will help you to rest in him today!

Day Four:
Luke 2:10-11
In Jesus, we find true joy! Who do you know who needs joy? Pray that God will give you an opportunity to bring the joy of Jesus to them.

Day Five:
John 3:16
You are SO loved by Jesus! Pray that Jesus would show you how to share his love with others today.

Day Six:
Isaiah 9:6-7
Jesus is that child; the Prince of Peace! Do you need peace with God? Do you know someone who needs peace with God? Take time to pray and ask Jesus to bring his peace into your life or theirs.

Isaiah 7:14
Another name for Jesus is Immanuel which means “God with Us”! Take some time to thank God for coming to earth to be with us!
