In light of the Governor’s Stay at Home order and continuing phased approach, Rooted at Life Center is currently on hold. We hope to host our Fall Rooted Session as planned, beginning on September 15th, but that is of course dependent on orders from state and local officials.
If you’d like to stay up to date on all things happening here, including info about when we’ll be able to meet again, subscribe to our email list at If you have any questions about Rooted specifically, you can email Corey using the button below. If you are interested in joining a Mission Group, there’s a button for that below as well. And finally, if you’re not already, join us for church every weekend at!

Rooted will help you find and follow Jesus! It’s a 10-week small group experience designed to help you grow personally, relationally, and spiritually.

Your Rooted group will be about twelve people plus two facilitators. You are given a workbook with short daily readings and reflection questions. This homework takes about 15-20 minutes a day for 5 days each week and is the basis for the discussion in your Rooted group. You’ll meet with your Rooted group once a week for 10 weeks to discuss what you’ve learned.

In addition to your weekly group meetings and homework, you’ll plan two additional experiences outside of your normally scheduled group meeting time. These will be a Prayer Experience during Week 3, and a Serve Experience during Week 6. Your group will schedule these experiences together during your first few group meetings.

All the groups meet at Life Center on  Tuesday evenings at 6:30.

Groups are formed primarily based on where you live in Spokane or the surrounding region.

Child care is available on Tuesday evenings only for children ages 10 and younger, for a set cost, based on number of attending children. This cost is for the entire 10 week session. Please indicate your child care needs on your registration. Childcare costs:

  • 1 child: $35
  • 2 children: $70
  • 3 or more children: $100

If you have more questions about Rooted, see the FAQ section below.

We run Rooted three times a year: fall, winter and spring. We strongly recommend that Rooted participants miss no more than two group meetings. If you are unable to attend at least 8 of the 10 sessions, please consider a future session!

We will conclude the Fall Rooted Session with a Celebration Dinner after the 10-weeks of groups.

Rooted groups are formed primarily based on your geographic location in Spokane or the surrounding region. So if you live up north, in the Spokane Valley, or on the South Hill, you’ll be placed into a group of people who live near you. Your location takes precedence over your age or marital status when groups are formed, so you’ll likely end up in a group of mixed ages and stages of life. We’ve found that these groups are the most exciting, so this is our default group type.

Yes, there is a space on your registration where you can add friend requests.

We recommend that Rooted participants not miss more than two meetings for two reasons. First, if you miss three or more weeks, you will not get the full experience. Second, your group will be affected. You will miss out on things that are shared, which will affect the group dynamic when you return.

We have three sessions of Rooted each year, so we recommend sitting down with your calendar before you register. If you know you will miss more than two of the weekly group meetings, consider joining a following session.

Rooted costs $50 for an individual. This covers the workbook, a catered meal at the Celebration, snacks on Launch Night and Week 7, some swag items for participants, and gifts for group facilitators. It helps offset facilitator’s costs, including books and weekly meals, and administrative costs like print materials, pens, table rentals, etc.

Yes, partial scholarships are available based on need.

In an effort to remove every obstacle that could prevent you from attending we have onsite child care services available for children 10 years of age and younger on Tuesday evenings only. Child care costs a flat rate depending on the number of children attending. All child care is provided by paid employees who have completed necessary background checks. Please register each child in addition to yourself.

Childcare costs:

  • 1 child: $35
  • 2 children: $70
  • 3 or more children: $100

Rooted is for everyone! Groups thrive when they have a broad spectrum of faith and church experience. Whether you’ve been a Christian your whole life or are still exploring faith in Jesus, we believe Rooted will impact your life and your faith journey.
