Dear family and friends,
The international flights/connections were smooth and uneventful. The night in Nairobi was short as was the domestic flight to Kisumu this morning. After driving via van to Kendu Bay, We spent the better part of the day settling in and trying to reset our internal clocks and adjust to life in a developing country.
This evening the Pikadili hotel manager arranged a special welcoming reception that involved high school children who entertained us with traditional singing, music and dance. We are all together now with our Spring of Hope counterparts and ready to move forward as a team. Tomorrow we start work building bio sand filters.
We were reminded today as presented in Philippians 4:8-9 that with the spirit of “whatever” we should move forward seeking whatever is true, noble, right, pure, lovely and admirable.
We are thankful for the Kenyan people, the budding friendship’s amongst team members and the opportunity to do Gods work. Please continue to remember us in your prayers.
Gods peace to each of you.
