Jeramiah 29:11 “For I know the plans I have for you” says the Lord “Plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future…”
Today our group split up this morning with 5 adults going to the prison with Heidi to attend a church service with the inmates and Jim gave his testimony. However, God had other plans and all the adults ended up sharing their testimony as well!
The other group of 3 adults and all 10 kids headed to the church with Conrad to paint the children’s ministry building. It was hot and hard work, but we were able to get the whole building painted! We then took a break for lunch at a delicious restaurant serving some amazing chicken, Mexican rice, beans and tortillas. We went back to the church to do the finishing touches on the painting and then got things ready for tomorrow’s event. Yay! We earned a siesta before we were heading out to a neighborhood to pass out invitations for tomorrows event. At one of the homes the gentleman remembered us from church and asked if we could pray for his mom who just had hip surgery in Mexico City. We all laid hands on him and said a prayer for him and his mom. This was another moment where God placed us where we needed to be.
We ended the day with a late dinner enjoying each other’s company and reflecting on how much had been accomplished. Praise be to God!
